In this blog, I’ll give you tips and tricks on how to pose for your wedding photographs and video, ensuring that you look beautiful and you have fun while having your video taken!

Most of the time, we don’t direct you or guide you into doing something that you wouldn’t already be doing. However, we do slightly pose you at a couple key moments throughout the day. These shots will look dreamy and will wow you and your loved ones whenever you watch your wedding film. As you approach your wedding day, here are some helpful tips to start with the right mindset.
Be Present
It can be so easy to get caught up with all the things happening on your wedding day and forget to be present in your body with what is happening right now. We regularly give simple prompts to help you reconnect with your body in the moment with your partner. Going into your wedding day, we encourage you to make a conscious effort to breathe slowly and soak it all in.
Have Fun
Remember that your wedding day is a celebration! Let’s not take ourselves too seriously. When you're relaxed and fully present in the moment, your genuine emotions will shine through, resulting in beautiful and authentic footage. Also, if you drink, feel free to sip a favorite beverage to help loosen you up a bit!
Connect with Each Other
When we take portraits, it’s a perfect time for the two of you to reconnect and enjoy being with each other. Let the reality that you’re married sink in. Enjoy it!
Poses We’ll Likely Do
Specific poses vary based on what your venue offers and where the sun is. During this time a wedding photographer will let the creativity flow and create moments that are lighthearted, dreamy, and touching. This is a time for having fun and being creative, not rigid to-do lists. With that said, here are some of our favorite poses that we may guide you and wedding party into doing to capture the best wedding photos.
Walking Together
Hold hands and walk together, enjoying a leisurely stroll. This pose creates a sense of movement and allows for candid moments of laughter and conversation.
Leading the Way
One of you will lead the other as you hold each other’s hand and walk together.
Embrace
Wrap your arms around each other in a warm embrace.
Slow Dance
Practice your first dance together and soak up the time together. Sway, spin, and get close.
The Forehead Touch
Stand face to face, gently touch foreheads, and close your eyes. This pose exudes tenderness and captures a moment of quiet intimacy.
The Kiss

Remember, we’ll make sure you look good! In the unlikely event that we capture a shot of you not looking stunning (likely won’t happen) that shot won’t make it into your wedding film.
