Before the Wedding:
✓ Available for regular phone and email support
✓ Create and distribute wedding day timeline to all vendors

✓ Attend wedding rehearsal and guide the wedding party through the ceremony

On the Wedding:
✓ Confirm ceremony site and reception table set-up completed by venue staff
✓ Point of contact for all guests and vendors

What does a Wedding Coordinator do differently than a Wedding Planner?
The main difference lies in the scope of their responsibilities. Wedding Planners have more responsibilities, often acting on behalf of the couple by signing contracts and securing a venue, vendors, and managing the budget. A Wedding Coordinator does not choose vendors or manage the budget. Instead, coordinators help carry out the wedding logistics. They make sure the timeline is efficient, pertinent info is communicated to all parties, and that plans are executed smoothly on the wedding day. Do I need a day-of wedding coordinator if my venue includes an on-site coordinator?
In a lot of cases, we think so. A site coordinator works for the venue, not directly for the couple. In some situations, the on-site coordinator’s attention can be pulled away to tend to staff issues or building maintenance concerns. A day-of coordinator, however, is employed by the couple and their full attention and presence will be given to the needs of the couple.
Do I need a day-of wedding coordinator if my bridesmaids and family offered to help?
Even in this case we encourage a coordinator because it empowers the family and wedding party to be emotionally present and enjoy the day. We believe that family and wedding party members are guests of honor, and should be able to connect with others, enjoy the food, and have fun dancing rather than stressing about nitty gritty details – it’s really tough to wear two hats on a wedding day. Hiring a coordinator assures that you and your loved ones will be able to fully enjoy the wedding day.
